| Last week, People’s Action and People’s Action Institute members came to D.C. from all across the country to demand our elected representatives stop the nearly $1 trillion in cuts the Trump administration wants to Medicaid, housing, food assistance, and climate programs. We spoke up, packed the halls, and stood vigil on the Capitol steps deep into the night. This isn’t just about line items on a budget. It’s about our lives. The Republican budget rips health care from 14 million people, slashes SNAP for millions of families, and guts rental assistance while over half a million people are already unhoused. It eliminates clean energy tax credits, fast-tracks fossil fuel projects, and strips funding for pollution clean-up and disaster recovery. All of this so billionaires and big corporations can get even richer. We won’t let them do it, and we won’t take no for an answer.
