People’s Action Endorses Keith Ellison for Democratic National Committee Chair

CHICAGO – People’s Action is endorsing Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison for the Democratic National Committee chair.

The next four years will call for courage and a depth of political experience to preserve policies that protect everyday people. In the past decade Keith Ellison has proven himself an unwavering defender of dignity for all. Congressman Ellison is an organizer, and understands that we need to rebuild the Democratic Party at the grassroots, community level.

George Goehl, co-director of People’s Action, released this statement today:

“The Democratic Party is long overdue for a reboot. Keith Ellison is the right leader for this much needed overhaul. He knows working class people have been under attack for too long, and are looking for a Party squarely committed to putting the plight of everyday people before the interests of abusive corporations.
