JOIN THE ORGANIZING REVIVAL!
We are the nation's largest networks of member-based, powerbuilding groups. We believe ordinary people, organized effectively, can transform society and overcome our greatest challenges. Together, we have signed on to The Antidote to Authoritarianism, our shared call to organize effectively. After filling out this form, we will invite you to join the organizations and networks driving this Organizing Revival.
The Antidote to Authoritarianism
Starting in May of 2023, twenty-one national organizations, representing every state and millions of people in grassroots community groups, have signed on to The Antidote to Authoritarianism, our call to support and strengthen effective organizing. In July of 2023, People’s Action’s members launched the Organizing Revival at their convention in Washington, DC, along with the leadership of People’s Action, Gamaliel, the Working Families Party and Faith In Action.

Dozens of local organizations have hosted their own Organizing Revivals, and trained their members in effective organizing techniques, such as scenario planning and deep canvassing. Through its Deep Canvass Institute and Movement Politics program, People’s Action offers training resources to allies and to the public for free.
In September of 2024 in Milwaukee, Gamaliel hosted two dozen grassroots groups with leadership from six nationwide organizations for three days of deep conversation and action to develop a shared mission. This is the first of five regional gatherings, each hosted by a partner organization in the Organizing Revival, which will culminate in a national gathering next year.

Pillars of the Organizing Revival
Build organizing infrastructure
We are rapidly expanding base and training programs so we can ground partner groups in the best practices of community organizing.
Issue & Electoral campaigns
We organize around the issues that matter most in our communities, and build relationships with candidates and elected officials who listen to these communities and share their values and goals.
build a bigger "we"
To bring more people into our movement, we invite people to see themselves as part of a bigger "we": participants in a vibrant, multiracial democracy with opportunities and justice for all.
Organize Philanthropy
Good organizing is not an afterthought, it is the foundation of social justice. To win lasting, meaningful change, we must cultivate a shared sense of purpose with philanthropy and end competition amongst allies so we can all advance together.
