While our communities face soaring costs for health care, housing, utilities, and food, Republicans rammed through a ten-year budget that guts Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, clean energy jobs, and disaster relief—while pumping billions into ICE and the military. Now, Congress has until September 30 to pass an annual funding bill—or shut down the government. Unlike the partisan budget, this one needs 60 Senate votes. Democrats are making their demands clear, but Trump is threatening to fire federal workers unless they cave. We need both parties to hear us: fund working families, not billionaires.
