Meanwhile, we watch the Pacific Northwest burn, flash floods drown the South and the Midwest, and heatwaves devastate the whole country. | Are You Ready for Labor Day? People are stretched. Groceries or rent. The doctor or the electric bill. Tradeoffs that should not have to be made, and the feeling that no one in power is actually listening. On and around Labor Day, organizations across the country will host Solidarity Schools, actions, canvasses, and nonviolent action trainings to build and practice the skills needed to defend each other’s rights, stand up to the forces trying to roll back everything working people have won, and advance a vision for a country that works for workers instead of billionaires.
