| Thursday: Get On the Phones to Get Out the Vote. California’s 22nd congressional district is key to taking over the House majority. More than two-thirds of its people are on Medicaid (that’s the highest for any Republican district in the country), which Trump has repeatedly threatened. The district’s average income is $55,000 – $60,000, and its people are fed up with how Republicans are handling the economy as they face today’s affordability crisis. It is one of the most Democratic-leaning districts represented by a Republican nationwide. People’s Action Power and Team 26 are getting on the phones with voters in CA-22 this coming Thursday to talk to voters about Randy Villegas, an unbought, corporate-free candidate campaigning on affordable healthcare, raising the minimum wage, ending Citizens United, banning members of Congress from trading stocks, and more.
