Every week, People’s Action shares actions you can take online and with our member groups

One week from today, our country finishes making our decision. We have the power to make a monumental shift in what comes next.

Imagine it: In the days and weeks after the election, the final ballots are counted. The results are in, and it has been a progressive wave.

We stand together and ensure the states certify the results. In January, a new Congress is seated. We block the Trump-Vance administration’s attempt to send us into more useless wars to enrich themselves and their donors. We impeach Pete Hegseth. We build the bench for Medicare for All.

To get there, first we need monumental turnout for a midterm election.

Here’s what you need to do:

If you haven’t yet, make your plan to vote. Find your polling place. Map out directions for how to get there. Finalize the day and time you’re going, and put it in your calendar.

If you’ve already voted, make sure your friends and family have made their plans. Forward this email to 3 friends. Share voting resources on Facebook, add it to your stories on Instagram, and repost it on TikTok. Make sure everyone you know has the resources they need to make their voices heard.

Getting the vote out now means protecting the outcome of elections later.

People are turning out in record numbers already. Over 20 million people have already voted. Turnout is higher than it was at this same point in 2022 or 2018 — and 2018 had the highest turnout for a midterm since 1914.

The more people vote, the harder it is to deny the outcome of this election or to hold the results hostage. And we are well on track to making this election too big to rig.

Make sure your friends are in on it – send them this email, and share voting resources on social!

Jam to the Polls Livestream
We’re not just voting. We’re celebrating. Join us on Nov. 3rd at 5:30 p.m. Eastern while we talk about what we’re seeing on the ground, jam out to some good tunes, and go over what comes next—because it all doesn’t end on Election Day. We’ve got to make sure every vote gets counted and that we swear in new leaders when January rolls around.

This is a “special edition” of our Bigger We series of popular education talks. We have a Bigger We this Friday with Rashad Robinson, author of From Presence to Power, from 2-3:30 p.m. Eastern.

Subscribe to People’s Action on Twitch or YouTube to get notified when we go live, and join us to celebrate the act of voting!
Pledge to Defend What We Love
Getting ready to vote in record numbers isn’t enough. We’re also preparing for any potential sabotage attempts that could come on or after Election Day. Are you ready to join in by getting trained up, recruiting in your community, joining protests, and more?

Let us know if you’re in, and how you want to defend a free democracy.
Saturday: Deep Canvass for Democracy
Many people feel disconnected, distrustful, and uncertain. That’s why our ability to engage across differences isn’t just a skill — it’s how we build a democracy in which we all have a say and all of us can thrive together.

Deep canvassing is a tool to build common cause with folks with diverse backgrounds and experiences and win the things we need in our lives. This technique uses curiosity and storytelling to give people a new perspective and energy to fight for change.

Whether you want to deepen connection as a community leader, neighbor or within your own family, join People’s Action Institute this Saturday to learn how to deep canvass.
After the Election: Find Out What Comes Next
On Wednesday, November 4 at 8 p.m. Eastern, we’ll hold a special session of The People’s Tea to hear stories from folks on the ground, make sense of what this election tells us about our landscape, and name what comes next. If you can’t make that call, Working Families Party is hosting their own post-election call Thursday, November 5 at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Pick which night works best for you: Wednesday Nov 4 or Thursday Nov 5.
Are You Willing to Fight?

We live in the richest country in the world but working people can’t afford groceries, rent, or health care while some billionaires pay less in taxes than a teacher. Prices rise, wages stay flat, and politicians look the other way and often take money from the same corporations that make life harder for us.

The game is rigged so working people always lose, but we’re done playing by those rules.

If you’re ready to stand up for your neighbors against the greedy and the cruel, sign the Willing to Fight pledge today.
