| ACTION: Demand Homes, Not Handcuffs Our country is facing the worst housing emergency since the Great Depression. Families in every ZIP code are struggling to pay rent or keep up with their mortgage—and far too many are living on the brink of eviction. In the face of this crisis, President Trump is asking Congress to slash the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) budget by $33.6 billion—a staggering 44% cut. This move is projected to push 9 million people into homelessness. We need solutions that meet the scale of the crisis.
