More than ever, the movement needs an organizing “revival”—and we at People’s Action are ready to bring it!
Join former People’s Action Director George Goehl and me as we celebrate our powerful lineage; make our case for a revival; and unveil our vision for how we will breathe new life into our craft at the Organizing Revival Coming-Out Party!
In the age of digital activism, disinformation, and disillusionment, the progressive movement has drifted away from the fundamentals of organizing. We’ve gotten good at chasing the next mobilization, the next viral moment, the next media splash. Nonetheless, our command of the art of base building, the rigor of good training, and of the curiosity needed for transformative conversations is weaker than it’s been in decades.
We’re about to change all that.
This revival will bring us back to the kind of organizing that restores dignity, inspires hope, and transforms the human spirit, and allow us to scale it up so we can build a bigger tent—with room for the many who need the shade and shelter but have not been touched by our organizing (yet).
We can’t ignite this revival without you. We need your support to achieve the vision we share, and we would be so honored if you’d join us at this pivotal moment in our organization’s history.
Together, I believe we can build upon our legacy of creating change, and spark an organizing revival that leads to renewal and healing in our country.
In solidarity,
Sulma Arias
